We’ve done everything we can to make this film low cost (without looking cheap in any way of course!). However, there are still some things we have to pay for especially the things that make the whole film look and sound good. We need to raise around £100,000. It sounds a lot but it’s a tiny amount compared to the budgets for most films which start at £1million and go up quickly from there.
We are looking at all sort of ways to raise the money. The most important of these are:
Maxi Moguls – individuals with more money than sense. I beg your pardon, incredibly generous individuals dedicated to the arts. We’re asking lots of these kinds of people from all over the place to become significant backers of the film. Mini Moguls – We’re asking villagers, their friend and relations to buy shares in the film. They are £20 each and there’s no limit to how many you can have. Before you run for your chequebook, we must stress that there’s a very good chance you won’t get your money back. However, we'd still like you to run for your chequebook. How many times can you claim to have been a backer of a major film? Sponsorship – this is where local businesses give money to the film in return for product placement (within reason), credits in the film and a great surge in support from the thousands of villagers who are involved in the film.
Funds and Grants – quite difficult to get hold of but we’re going to try anyway. Completion funding where they top up what you've already raised is especially important. If you are interested in any of these ways of supporting the project, please get in touch (click 'Contact Us' to the left)
